Our Doctors

Lissa Halbert

DVM

Lissa Halbert, DVM is a native of Northwest Arkansas having spent her childhood and early adult years in Fayetteville. She and her family moved around the world living in India, Thailand, and the Philippines; they returned to Northwest Arkansas about seven years ago.

She is a graduate from the University of Arkansas and graduated from Iowa State University Veterinary College in 1991. She has over 20 years in small animal practice and has practiced in Iowa, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

Away from the clinic, Lissa spends time with her loving husband, Steve, and their four children, Megan, Jon, Jaylia, and Mariah. They have a passion for the outdoors and her hobbies include camping, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, and boating.

Amy Young

DVM

Amy Young, DVM is a Tulsa, OK native but graduated from Bentonville High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Agricultural Economics and then a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2000. She has worked in several clinics in Oklahoma and Arkansas as a relief veterinarian before joining the Faithful Friends family in 2009. Away from the clinic, Amy cares for 6 dogs, a flock of chickens and over 5 landscaped acres near Tontitown. She loves visiting national parks and mountain biking with her son, Tucker. She also enjoys reading, hiking, feeding wild birds and growing Japanese maples and Ozark Chinquapins.

Michelle Belviy

DVM

Michelle Belviy, DVM, grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy in 1999, then graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2003 with Honors and Distinction in Animal Science.

She received her Doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2007 and directly moved back to beautiful Northwest Arkansas. She has been happily serving this community ever since.

She lives in Tontitown with her husband, Nick, her adopted son, Elliott, and her two rescue pups, Saoirse, the Doberman, and Mickey Fluffy Face, the French Bulldog. She enjoys boxing/working out, adventuring with her boys, and annually traveling to see friends in Ireland.

Kelsey Jacks

DVM

Dr. Jacks is a native to Arkansas, born and raised in Camden. She received her bachelor of science degree from Arkansas State University in biology, finally receiving Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University.

Dr. Jacks has been a valued member of the Faithful Friends family since 2020. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband and son. She is a pet mom to a Boston Terrier named Bug and two house cats named Abu and Dinozzo.

Emily Robertson

DVM

Dr. Emily Robertson grew up in the small town of Rayville, Louisiana with Labrador Retrievers, cats, rabbits, chickens, and an overall love of animals. Dr. Robertson received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University, where she graduated 2019. After vet school, she worked at Eastside Animal Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas for 3 years. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association. In 2020, she was named the Arkansas Young Scholar of the Year at Southwest Veterinary Symposium.

Dr. Robertson is married to Lane Robertson, a University of Arkansas alumnus. Together they have two dogs, Delta – a Chocolate Lab, Dudley – a Golden-Doodle, and Fin – a domestic shorthair cat. When not at work, she enjoys hiking, Orange Theory Fitness, and traveling with her family.

Debbie Downs

Practice Manager

With over 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Debbie brings knowledge, compassion, and dedication to her role as Practice Manager. In 2019, she earned the prestigious Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential, a distinction held by only a select number of veterinary professionals nationwide. Debbie has lived in the area her entire life and is passionate about fostering a positive clinic culture where both team members and clients feel supported, and every pet receives the highest standard of care. She is married with two adult daughters and a golden retriever named Stark, who keeps the whole family smiling. Outside of the clinic, Debbie enjoys reading, paddle boarding, and spending time with her family.

Trevor DeShields

Floor Manager

Trevor has been a cornerstone of Faithful Friends since 2008, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience, steady leadership, and a deep love for animals to the team. As Floor Manager, Trevor primarily oversees the clinic floor, where his calm presence and sharp eye for detail help keep the day running smoothly for both staff and patients. Whether he’s troubleshooting a busy schedule, or stepping in to support the team, Trevor approaches every challenge with reliability, heart, and a can-do spirit. Outside of the clinic, Trevor’s love for animals doesn’t clock out. He spends much of his free time caring for the many creatures on his family farm—a lifestyle that reflects his deep-rooted connection to nature and his commitment to caretaking in all forms. Family and pets are at the center of everything Trevor does, and that same grounded, loyal energy is felt in the way he leads and supports the clinic team each day. Trevor’s experience, work ethic, and genuine care for both people and animals make him an invaluable part of the FFAC family.
